Vermont Non GMO Labeling Law Compliance

Lucini Italia is committed to making quality foods and to providing full visibility to our consumers on what they are consuming. Recently the state of Vermont has passed a mandatory food labeling law (Food Labeling Law Act 120 Consumer Rule 121) requiring all foods to list if they do or do not contain Genetically Modified Organisms (GMO’s). This law goes into effect for food sold after July 1, 2016.

To continue our commitment of transparency, we are working on obtaining Non GMO Project Verified certification for all Lucini Italia products. While this process takes some time, we are making revisions to all of our product labels to include a statement indicating if it does not contain or may contain GMO’s to be compliant with these rules until full verification has been completed.

A full list of our Non GMO Verified products can be found at  As mentioned above, items that are not yet verified will have a statement on the label indicating their status.
