LUCINI ITALIA STRIKES GOLD WITH ITS DELICATE CUCUMBER & SHALLOT ARTISAN VINAIGRETTE – FOR THE THIRD TIME.
Miami, FL (June 2012) – After back-to-back wins in 2009 and 2010, they’ve done it again. Lucini Italia’s Delicate Cucumber and Shallot Artisan Vinaigrette was named the Outstanding Salad Dressing of 2012 in the 40th annual sofi™ Awards from the National Association for the Specialty Food Trade, Inc. A graceful recipe with locally grown garlic, parsley and milk, the vinaigrette is also the 2009 and 2010 Gold sofi™ Award winner for best dressing/marinade and outstanding salad dressing.
The vinaigrette was nominated as a Silver Finalist by a panel of specialty food expert judges, ranging from celebrity chefs to established national magazine food editors and then was tasted and tested by 300 industry peers at the 58th Summer Fancy Food Show in Washington, DC. Gold Winners were announced at a red-carpet ceremony hosted by José Andrés, the noted chef and culinary innovator.
This year was the most competitive sofi™ contest to date, with an astonishing 2,520 contenders across 32 awards categories. Lucini is one of a handful of companies to be honored three times in the contest's 40 year history.
