TWICE AS NICE: Lucini Italia Strikes Gold with its Delicate Cucumber & Shallot Vinaigrette - Again!
Miami, FL (JULY 2010) – They’ve done it again. Lucini Italia’s Delicate Cucumber and Shallot Artisan Vinaigrette was named the Outstanding Salad Dressing of 2010 in the 38th annual sofi™ Awards from the National Association for the Specialty Food Trade, Inc. A graceful recipe, with locally grown garlic, parsley and milk, the vinaigrette is also the 2009 Gold sofi™ Award winner for best dressing/marinade.
The vinaigrette was nominated as a Silver Finalist by a panel of specialty food expert judges, ranging from celebrity chefs to established national magazine food editors and then was tasted and tested by industry peers at the Summer Fancy Food Show in New York City. Although it is not the first time a product has been awarded a Gold sofi™ Award in consecutive years, it certainly is rare. This year was the most competitive sofi™ contest to date in its 38 year history, with an astonishing 2,257 entries across 33 Awards categories.
